An International Mover that Understand Your Needs
We understand that a new overseas job posting may require that you relocate quickly
and with little time to plan or research service providers. That’s why experience
and a GSA-approved international forwarder can make a world of difference in your
move.
You can trust that as an experienced and approved GSA service provider, Deseret
has the door-to-door capabilities and personalized service you need – and deserve
– for a hassle-free move. We’re committed to responding quickly and with all the
resources necessary to manage your international shipment. Our resources include
a global network of trusted, reliable service partners, including dependable carriers
for every mode of transportation – land, sea, and air.
Our corporate headquarters is in El Paso, Texas – home to Fort Bliss, one of the
largest U.S. Army bases in the continental United States, and a host of government
contractors and federal agencies including the U.S. Border Patrol, the Drug Enforcement
Agency (DEA), Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), and the Federal Bureau
of Investigation (FBI), among others.
Many of the military and government personnel we serve are not only our customers
– they’re our neighbors, family, and friends. That’s why we understand first-hand
the unique logistical and emotional challenges that relocation creates for the families
that serve our nation.
A Licensed International Forwarder with All the Right
Moves
Deseret is a Federal Maritime Commission (FMC) and Interstate Commerce Commission
(ICC) licensed international air and sea freight forwarder, as well as a non-vessel
operating common carrier (NVOCC). As a licensed and approved international household
goods forwarder, we’re experienced in working with the government, civilian, and
international agencies that are all part of the international moving and forwarding
process.
As an affiliate of Spectrum Relocation Group, Inc., our corporate family has warehouse
facilities and transportation equipment strategically located across Texas, including
near the Houston seaport – the #1 import tonnage port in the U.S. and the second
largest in export tonnage – and major international airports. We’re well positioned
to offer port services that encompass pickup, delivery, containerization, and storage
of containers.
While our roots are in Texas, our global experience and established worldwide network
of reliable, trustworthy partner agents enable us to move government employees to

WHAT OUR
GSA APPROVAL
MEANS TO YOU
|
A transportation service provider (TSP) that wants to provide household goods transportation
services to the U.S. Government must first be approved by the GSA. In addition,
the TSP must sign a certification agreeing to abide by the terms and conditions
of the GSA Tender of Service (TOS) agreement.
|
The Household Goods Tender of Service (HTOS) defines duties, rights, and responsibilities
of the TSP, the government agency making the shipment, the relocating employee/owner
of the shipment, and GSA. It also provides:
|
|
Standards of quality and service for transportation,
accessorial services, and in-transit storage of the personal effects and property
of federal employees relocating to another duty station;
|
|
Requirements for documentation and reporting to insure
that both the employee and the GSA are well informed about the move from beginning
to end;
|
|
Guidance for resolution of any problems or claims that
might arise; and
|
|
An employee feedback mechanism to ensure that TSP 's
are held accountable for quality of service.
