Widely known and respected throughout
the international household goods moving industry, Joe Jacobs manages all aspects
of Deseret’s non-military, international household goods forwarding business from
Deseret’s Miami office.
Over the past 37 years, while working in management roles with some of the most
prestigious companies in the industry, Joe has developed in-depth expertise in all
facets of door-to-door, international moving, and built a strong network of personal
relationships with partner agents around the world.
Joe has drawn on his four decades of worldwide experience to help Deseret select
reliable, “best in market” service partners who can be trusted to deliver superior
quality and service at highly competitive prices. The strength of Joe’s relationships
with Deseret’s partner agents and his knowledge of the entire door-to-door value
chain are what enable Deseret to deliver smooth household goods forwarding and overseas
moves to or from any location around the globe.
Joe’s most recent management positions prior to joining the Deseret team were Vice-President
of International Consumer Business Channel for SIRVA, Inc., and International Group
Partner Program Manager for Interdean Interconnex Ltd.
Active in the Latin American and Caribbean International Movers Association (LACMA),
Joe has resided and worked in Latin America during his career in the international
moving industry. He is especially knowledgeable of moves to and from that region
of the world, and speaks Spanish fluently. Joe is also active in the International
Association of Movers (IAM) and participates regularly in industry meetings and
conferences.
A former member of the United States Marine Corp, Joe served six years, which included
a tour in Vietnam (1966-67). He is presently Commanding Officer of the “HMM-262
Combat Helicopter Association” consisting of USMC Vietnam and Iraq Air Combat Veterans.
